My little brother got hit in the face today with a baseball & it gave him a wicked huge, swollen black eye!.!.!. is there anything he should do to it besides ice!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

besides ice, he should be taken to the ER so they can x-ray the face and make sure he has no facial bone brakes or other problems with the actual eye itself!. If he is in a lot of pain, tylenol or ibuprofen can be taken as directed on the bottle (not at the same time) but they both can be taken if they are 2 hours apart and no more than the max dosage per day, hope he is okay!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
it is a closed wound which is a bruise!. unfortunately ice is the way to go and plenty of rest!. put a cloth over the bag of ice and leave it on for 20 min!. and off for 20 min!. for 24 hours if you can!. Your body will do the rest!. if he has pain he can take Ibuprofen for pain and swelling!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
