Tonsillectomy: Is there any way that a ENT doctor would reject a Tonsillectomy?!

Question: Tonsillectomy: Is there any way that a ENT doctor would reject a Tonsillectomy!?
I went to my Family Doctor today because I wanted to get a Tonsillectomy (tonsils removed), and he reffered me to an ENT!. I'm gonna make my appointment soon, but I'm worried that he might turn me down on the surgery!. I'm really desperate to get the surgery because I get a lot of Tonsiliths (Tonsil stones), and I want to know if that alone is a good enough reason for the ENT to perform this surgery on me!. I'm 18 BTW, so the healing process shouldn't be that bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
the ENT may want to try less invasive treatment then opt for removal or the ENT may decide to get them out!.!.!.be sure to emphasize the constant problem and how it affects your quality of lifeWww@Answer-Health@Com

The problem is that you are dictating to the doctor what surgery is necessary!.

Your GP referred you in order to get rid of you; as would I!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cutting them out is no longer considered the first option!. If your problems are seasonal, then the ENT may prefer to treat with medication and observe the results!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
