Okay so my cat just clawed the heck outta my face. . .?!

Question: Okay so my cat just clawed the heck outta my face!. !. !.!?
My cat is psycho and she jumped from the stairs and landed on my head and totally tore my face up with her sharp talons!. I have deep scratches all over me and they sting like hell!. I went into the bathroom and washed all the blood off (there was a lot) but the scratches still sting really bad and they're bleeding a little again!.

What can I do to save my face from being scratched up like this permenantly!? They're pretty deep scratches!. Also, what can I do to keep them clean and to keep them from getting infected!? They won't stop bleeding, it's been like half an hour!. Please help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Keep the wounds clean with soap and water, sterile saline spray(found in supermarkets, Rite-Aid, Walmart, etc!.), hydrogen peroxide or another brand product like the Johnson and Johnson no sting antiseptic!. Rubbing alcohol would work but can damage new cell growth and stings a lot!. Betadine/Iodine is ok too but I don't think you want brown or pink liquid all over your face!.

Apply pressure to stop the bleeding and if it doesn't stop within the hour, you might want to call a 24 hour help line at your local hospital!. I know the one near me has nurses on the line at all times!.

In terms of keeping your face scar free, that depends on a few factors!. If the edges of the scratches approximate or match up nicely, you should have minimal scarring!. Also, the amount of scar tissue that builds up in the area can affect how it looks as well as the texture and tone of your skin!.

I know this seems awful right now but I can't tell you how many times my cat has scratched me and I thought I'd have a giant scar forever!. Having been a cat owner for over 10 years, I can tell you that I have yet to have one that's lasted more than a few weeks!. Best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

cats have germs in their claws and could easily infect you!. You need to go to the doctor or emergency room asap, especially since some scratches are deep and still bleeding!.
Try and apply presure to stop the bleeding or get some stuff called liquid bandaides!. It is clear and like a glue!. It will sting for just seconds!. Blow on it and it helps to stop the burning!.
I suggest you try to clean the cuts best you can first, and put some antibiotic cream or tea tree oil!. You make develop cat scratch fever!. I had it twice many many years ago!.
good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You must use Neosporin first aid antibiotic ointment which You can find at any grocery store in the pharmacy section!. This will help with the healing faster, control infection, and help reduce scarring!. It was good to clean it with soap and water and good that it bled!. That will get the bacteria out!.
After applying Neosporin put on fresh band-aids!. Keep your wounds out of the sunlight because that is what will cause a pinkish colored scar!. Keep your scratches and cuts covered every day and use neosporin every day with fresh band-aids!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Compress the scratches!. Pour peroxide on the wounds to get the infection/bacteria out!. Keep it covered it gauze or a band aid with neosporin on it!. You may want to see a doctor tomorrow and have it checked out!.!.!.and make sure your cat has all of it's shots up to date!.

Then get rid of the cat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Clean the scratches with peroxide and put antibiotic cream on the scratches!. If it looks any worse, or the pain is worse tomorrow, you need to see a physician!. The doc may give you antibiotics because the injury was caused by an animal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First of all:get rid of the damn cat!.It is a dangerous creature and unpredictable!.
Use rubbing alcohol to clean the wounds !.Put neosporin on it so it heals well!.
If it does not close within 24 hours with a scab, better see the DR!.
He might wanna give you a shot!.

call your doctor or somebody you know (relative or friend) in the medical career!. they will tell you what to do and how to keep it clean!. declaw your cat!. most likely the scars will never go away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The face heals very quickly, so you wont have scars!. Just keep the scratches clean and dry and all should be ok!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My cat has done that to me several times and I wound up getting really bad painful infections from her bites and scratches, despite having cleaned them and applying ointment!. The last time I had to go to the doc and get an antibiotic shot!. I would really suggest you go ahead and see a doctor!.

You might consider having your cat declawed!. I know it's controversial, but it sometimes is really necessary!. I had my cat declawed and she has done fine!. The vet also put my cat on an antidepressant like Prozac, but I found it very difficult to give it to her!. The vet told me to use Feliway to help calm the cat!. You can get it as a plug-in device or a spray and it is sold at pet stores!. I'm not really sure if it worked with my cat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
