Question: I left butterfly stitches on my legs to long!.!?
I just had leg surgery almost a week ago!. The doctors cut me in to different spots and put three butterfly stitches over each of them!. I was only supposed to leave them there for a few days before removing them!. But they are still there!. Now my leg has scabs over the cuts!. If I pull them off now the scab will come off too!. Do you know a way I could pull them off without pulling the scabs off!? Like anything I could put on them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Leave 'em!. I had surgery about 3 weeks ago, and had the same issue!. I kept pulling them off slowly (picking at them basically) and one day I got home and one was completely gone!. It just fell off during the day!.
I'm too much of a wimp to just pull them!. It hurt!

Dab on some hydrogen peroxide, it will dissolve the scab and release the tape or just leave it and they will eventually come off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Try putting an antibiotic ointment on them and cover with a bandaid before going to bed!. Hopefully it will soften the skin enough to take them off without reopening your scabs!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
