Question: Has anyone ever had muscle aches as a side affect of general anesthesia!?
I had surgury on tuesday and wednesday i woke up to pain in all my muscles!. if i get up and move it gets better but it is hard to get up!. I am in pain! How long will this last!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most likely your discomfort is due to the use of a muscle relaxant called succinylcholine!. It causes all of your muscles to contract very tightly for a moment before relaxing them!. This can cause varying degrees of muscle discomfort post operatively which usually last only a day or 2!. Take your pain meds if you need them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
unfortunately, there is a anaesthetic called succsincholine (sucks-in-ill-col-ine) that does this!. It can last up to 5 days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
