Noticed a creepy lump on my throat, right above my eve's-apple, slightly to !

Question: Noticed a creepy lump on my throat, right above my eve's-apple, slightly to the right!. WTF!?
It doesn't hurt and I have no other symptoms (sore throat, trouble swallowing, fever, etc)!.

I made a doctor's appointment but in the meantime I'm freaking out!. Does anyone have any idea what this might be!?

I have pretty bad allergies so I was thinking maybe I got an infection of some sort and my lymph nodes are swollen!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Swollen lymph nodes are quite common, so it's highly possible that's what it is!. Lymphatics are involved in your immune responses, so if your immune response is augmented for any reason (infection, allergies, inflammation, etc) you might see a swollen node!. If it's only on one side, then it's more likely that it's due to something localized rather than systemic, like a canker sore or even something small and unimportant that you haven't noticed!.

Another REMOTE possibility (if it's on the larger side) is a sporadic goiter, which is an asymmetrical enlargement of the thyroid gland!. This is not as usual, but isn't life threatening and can be treated!. It normally doesn't cause any thyroid symptoms either, so it isn't a huge cause for concern!.

Your doctor will tell you for sure what it is, and in the meantime you shouldn't worry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is it actually on your tonsil!? If so, it might be what is called a "tonsil stone"!. People with enlarged tonsils will get these quite often!. They form inside the little holes in your tonsils and are made up of bacteria (from allergies) and food particles!. They can many times turn into ulcers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah, it's probably a lymph node swollen!. That's exactly what I have except mine is big and it hurts!. I need to see the doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

could be a bug bite or you may be allergic to something!. It's spring so theres a lot of bugs flying around and many people get allergies, I know I do!. lolWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like a cyst, boil, or bug bite!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
