Question: Injury question: how can you tell if your calf is just pulled or torn!?
i was having a sore calf but thought it was ok but i did several axel jumps today (figure skating) and then i did one jump and it hurt like hell and i think i pulled a muscle in my calf!. i put ice on it immediately since my coach told me to for 30 minutes and have iced it today on/off and taken motrin!. any other things i can do to speed the recovery!. I'm supposed to skate in a few days in an ice show but i don't have to do any jumps or spins in the show!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tearing a muscle is very severe, and you wouldn't've been able to skate at all after you tore it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you must have pulled a muscle or tendon!. if you've torn a muscle, you wouldn't be able to stand and your leg would be purpleWww@Answer-Health@Com
