Question: Colonoscopy advice!?
I just had a colonoscopy and I am bleeding a little after going to the bathroom, has anyone had any experience like this after a colonoscopy!? Serious replies only, I will report anything silly!. Guaranteed 10 points in a day!.!.!.thank you for your replies!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The scope will sometimes cause a little bleeding from scrapes in the lining of the colon!. It should not amount to much blood!. If polyps were removed, or biopsies taken, then each of those spots can start bleeding again, up to 14 days later!. It is like when a soft scab falls off too early, the blood clot can be dislodged and some blood leak out again!. The amount of bleeding is important!. If you are bleeding in large clots, or cupfuls, then you might be the 1 in 300 who will need treatment for post-polypectomy bleeding!. Small amounts tend to stop on their own, needing no further treatment!.

I didn't notice any bleeding after mine!.
Did the doctor remove any polyps or do any biopsy of any sort!? That may be the source as the wound heals!.
