My mother used to have her sholders tried to the chair while she ate when she was little, and it scarred her so bad that she never told me to sit up straight, so by the time i started middle school my back was slanted BAD! so i started sucking in my stomach and pushing out my chest which was a quick fix, but when i went to my doctor about it, she said i was just making my back into a question mark and making it worse, she said the trick was to roll your shoulders back, if you remind yourself to do that over time it helps!. At first it might be really uncomfortable but try doing it in front of a mirror and see what a difference it really makes!. Keep it up and you'll thank yourself before it gets too bad to fix yourself!.!.!.your still young and i wish someone would have told me at your age, im pretty sure my back would be perfect now!. Good luck! hope i helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They will MRI your back, work out the degree's of your curves and go from there!. If it warrents surgery they will do surgery!. They will only do surgery if you need it, personally i dont think its worth the risk of paralysis if it isnt neccessary!.
I know it sucks having scoliosis, i have it to!. My bodys really twisted and i have 3 curves!. There are other ways they can help it, such as physical therapy and a back brace!. I have hot water bottles, hot baths and a TENS machine to help my back/neck pain, so if its bad try them :]
Also, do you know the reason you have it!? Is it idiopathetic, or is there a cause like hemivertebra!? Or something else!?

Go to your doctor and discuss it with him :]Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes for severe cases their is surgery available!. I believe one involves placing a rod against the spine to straighten it but i think it is risky and is therefore reserved for the worst cases and for younger patients!. i know of one person who had it done and is doing fine and another who didn't go through with it and now wishes she had at the age of 34!.

Some exercises can help but they are never a fix all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have scoliosis as well - when I was younger it was bad but I did some exercises to make it a little better, and yes doctors can do surgeries but you will have a metal rod in your back, and that scares me even more - if you have back pains ask your parents to buy you a temperptic mattress, I bought one and it is wonderful -Www@Answer-Health@Com

yea go to the doctor!.
im 13 too!.
and my friend has scholiosis!.
her doctor said it bad enough for surgery!.
and if your in pain, i think you need to get it checked out!.
yes they do do surgery for that!.
they can straighten it out!.
for now, just take a break, and sit down or lay down with an ice pack or heating pad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Definitely see a doctor!. But for temporary relief, you might consider some chair massage or other massage therapy to help with the pain!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it's really bad you can have surgery to straighten it!. If it's not real bad you can wear a brace to keep it from getting any worse!.You have to do that before you stop growing!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
