I have an ear infecion and my ear's feel all cloged up!. It's come after i've had a cold!. I keep hearing high pitched noises in my right ear and I don't seem to be hearing much!. It's not hurting anymore and i've been given amoxilyn by the doctor!. Does anybody know when i'll be able to get rid of this ear infection, hear properly and get rid of this noise!. PLEASE HELP!. I am going to give you 2 suggestions:
1!. Use a mixture of Hydrogen peroxide and warm water (1:1 ratio)!. Sop it up in a paper towel and drip into your ears, keeping your head to the side for a few minutes!. It will sound like bubbles but that is the cleaning of the excessive cerumen (wax) in your ear!. Repeat to the other side, and use a Q-tip to clean the loose wax out of your outer ears!.
2!. Use a mixture of 1/2 alcohol 1/2 vinegar (just plain apple cider vinegar)!. The alcohol will dry the water out of your ear and also provide help kill any infection!. The vinegar acts as a natural skin softener so you don't get dermatitis behind your eardrum (NEVER put plain alcohol into your ears - not only does it sting like crazy but it can cause dermatitis behind the eardrum, a hard thing to treat!)!. Put a few drops into each ear!. -Note: When I was on the swim team as a kid, we carried small drop bottles of this mixture in our swim bags, it helped prevent swimmers ear!

You need to go to the doctors and get a course of antibiotics!. Its common to get an ear infection after a cold, its cuz you;ve been all bunged up!. Seriously, once you start taking the antibiotics, after about 2 days you'll notice a difference, but you need to make sure you finish the whole course and not just stop when the pain goes away cuz it will come back!. Have you heard of ear candling!? My husband had great success getting rid of an earache using this technique!. We do it regularly to get rid of ear wax build up!. Most doctors frown on the procedure because of the open flame, but it is safe if done properly!. You can buy ear candles at many health food stores (at least in the south, here)!. Have someone help you to be the safest!. The folks who sell them to you can tell you the safest procedure!. We wrap our hair in a towel and use a foil pie pan with a hole punched in the middle to insert the candle!. I put a damp paper towel in the pie pan!. It sounds scarey - but it WORKS! Take the amoxycillan, as the Doctor ordered!. You may have some fluid build up, due to your ear infection!. Possible your Doctor or pharmacist might recommend a decongestant to help reduce the fluid in your ear!. Give them a call! Good luck! kjlWww@Answer-Health@Com
