Question: Tonsilitus Question!?!?
Well i think i have tonsillitus!. Ive had it before and i get it like every 3-4 months!. I have a sore throat, headache at the back of my head, and general aches n pains!. Im off swimming today, and i cant wait!. I really wanna go, but im scared that it will affect my tonsillitus!. Has it got anything to do with water!? Im 12!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Swimming will do you no harm as long as you dry your hair after!. The best thing to do is drink loads of water and keep brushing your teeth and get plenty of rest!. I used to get tonsillitis every two months, thank god I've grown out of it!. The weather may have something to do with it but as i said i got it every two moths and the weather is always different!. My secret is diluting orange and cup a soups it usually helps me!.

I had tonsillitus a lot when I was your age!. I went to a nose & throat specialist and he said due to my nasal passages being small I breath through my mouth a lot, especially when I get a blocked nose, and this lead to the regular tonsillitus!. The answer is to make sure I shut my mouth at night (can tape it shut) and breath through nose!. Also to clear blocked nasal passages clear you can wash them using a Neti Pot (chemists and health food shops) - put warm, salty water in pot (or any pouring vessel really), stand over basin, turn head to side and let water run through, then do the opposite side!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'd consider it very carefully!. I got it done last month, and had the WORST two weeks of my life!. I couldn't eat anything! but i was forced to!. my ears stung so bad, and i jst cried the whole time ( which i NEVER usually do)!.the operation isn't that bad , it's more the afterpain!. Its EXCRUCIATING!!. !.!.!.and I had a sore throat last week with the flu, so it really didnt help !. Then again I suffered from tonsilitis quit alot and mine were all scarred, so i Had to get them out lol!.!.If you are getting them out i'd advise you do it now, as it gets worse as your older :DWww@Answer-Health@Com

if you have white spots on your tonsils then it is tonsilitis if it is just red and sore then it is a sore throat, either way go to your doctors for further advice and treament as it keeps comeing back there may be another cause or perhaps it is just your age but get it checkedWww@Answer-Health@Com
