Question: What are the dangers and side effects of an MRI!?
I wanted to know realistically if there was any danger of suffering permanent damage from getting an MRI!. I looked up

I have had numerous MRIs, and I believe the risk is minimal if anything at all!.
It doesn't use radiation, like an x-ray or CT scan would!. It's just a magnet and it does suck being stuck in that tube until the scan is over!. Many places have open MRIs if you are nervous about being in the MRI machine!.
Are they going to use contrast!? If they are just make sure you aren't allergic to the indgridents in the contrast before they use it!.
They also ask if you are allergic to shellfish, so you may want to keep that in mind!.
And if you are nervous (or claustrophobic) let the doc know and they can give you something to take the anxiety away!.
And don't wear any metals, it will mess up the magnet!.
