Question: I have Lortabs, Percocet, and Ibuprofen, which should I use for dental surgery pain!?
I have Lortabs & Percocet which were prescribed by the oral surgeon!. The Percocet makes me itch all over & numbs the pain!. The Lortabs don't work unless I take 1 1/2 to 2 each dose, and I'm supposed to take only 1 every 4-6 hours!. I also have Ibuprofen 600 mg which was prescribed by my dentist for the pain before my tooth was extracted!. Should I go ahead and start trying the Ibuprofen!? I don't want to take the Percocet because of the way it makes me itch all over, and it makes me nauseous as well!. The Lortabs, I don't want to take double the amount!. What would you do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Well, given that you already know what kind of side effects you get from two of them, then I'd say the prudent route is to try the Ibuprofen!. I wouldn't take more than 600 mg every four to six hours though, and take them with a full glass of water and some simple food like bread to make them easier to digest!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
