Gauze sticking to road rash?!
Question: Gauze sticking to road rash!?
I recently got in an accident and have road rash!. My doctor told me to change it and clean it once a day, but when I take off the gauze, it sticks and the wound if fresh enough that it hurts to put any water on it (not to mention, I'm supposed to keep it dry for 3 days)!. Does anyone have any suggestions or alternatives to gauze!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Use STERILE water to moisten the gauze before you remove it!. Let it sit for a few minutes before you pull the gauze off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If you spray disinfectant on the gauze before trying to remove it, it won't hurt as much!. I don't know if this counts as not getting it wet, but it definitely will come off easier, and much less painful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
