I don't know what to do about my burn?!

Question: I don't know what to do about my burn!?
So I burned the front side of my fingers (the palm side, i guess) of my right hand on the rack of the toaster oven while taking out food!. It looks pretty mild (red, a little puffy) so i think it's a first degree burn!. I ran my fingers under cool water for 20 minutes and I've been soaking them in cold water for a couple hours, but as soon as i take it out of the water it starts burning and searing excruciatingly!. I've had burns like this before and it's never acted this way!. Any help!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

What you have done so far is good!. I am certified in first aid!. First run normal tap water on the burn for about 10 or more minutes!. Then (this is what people do wrong) warp the burn up!. Most people say to let it air out!. this is wrong!. Micro-bacteria with be attracted and spawed at the area of the burn!. WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT BUT ICE ON!!! This will numb the arteries near the finger thus cutting off you second line of defence, white blood cells!. Keep wrapped up letting it air every now and then for short amounts of time untill the burn heals!. I hope i was some sort of help for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

One thing you have to remember about burns is to never run water over it or soak your burn, your burn will blister when you do this, get some aloe vera instead!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its just sensitive because of all the nerves in the tips of your fingers, take some aspirin or any other anti-inflammatory!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For some reason, some people use butter!.!.!. Do NOT use butter as it makes it worse!. Instead, follow the following steps:

(NOTE: The following may cause pain and/or irritation, but, it will be better in the long run, once the burn clears up!. If needed, you could take an acetaminophen pill, or a nonsterodial anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), such as Advil?, to minimize or neutralize the pain)!.

* Take a cool bath or shower!. Adding 1/2 cup (about 120 milliliters) of cornstarch, oatmeal or baking soda to your bath water may provide some relief!.
* Apply an aloe vera lotion several times a day!.
* Leave blisters intact to speed healing and avoid infection!. If they burst on their own, apply an antibacterial ointment on the open areas!.
* If needed, take an over-the-counter pain reliever such as aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others), naproxen (Aleve) or acetaminophen (Tylenol, others)!. Don't give children or teenagers aspirin!. It may cause Reye's syndrome, a rare but potentially fatal disease!.

Do not use petroleum jelly, butter or other home remedies on your sunburn!. They can prevent or delay healing!.

If your sunburn begins to blister or if you experience immediate complications, such as rash, itching or fever, see your doctor!.

Hope this helps!.
Get well soon!.
