What happens when you have a 3rd degree sprain?!


Question: What happens when you have a 3rd degree sprain!?
I was in a football tornament yesterday and I got kicked over by the akillies tendon!. It really hurt and my leg buckled over to the left and then the right!. It's really swollen and the st!. Jhons ambulance said it was quite bad!. I can not walk and i spent the whole day with my foot up wth an ice pack on it!. What should i do!? Go to hospital or just battle it out at home!? Please reply!Www@Answer-Health@Com

well pack or bag and go to the hospital
They might have to put a cast on ur foot and give u crutches if it is a grade 3 sprain
There would be a complete tear of ligaments

A 3rd degree sprain usually means your ankle is unstable and often requires surgery!.

A 3rd degree sprain involves the complete rupture of 1 or more ligaments!.

At the very least you need to see a doctor!. These take MONTHS to heal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

So you only had it assessed by St John ambulance!? I would go to the doctor to get it checked out just to be sure that there isn't any more serious damage!. Sometimes tendon injuries and things require surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
