Injured finger two months ago playing softball and its still a little swollen an!


Question: Injured finger two months ago playing softball and its still a little swollen and painful!.!?
Two weeks after it originally happened most of the swelling went down and i was able to move it again!. I never used ice or went to the doctor!. Its still noticeably swollen though and it hurts when i move it certain ways or squeeze it!. Is it too late to go to the doctor!? or do anything with it!? Will it stay like this forever!? If I go to the doctor what will they do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's never too late to go to the doctor!. You most likely have a small fracture in your finger!. And because you broke a finger on your right hand and you're right handed, you probably keep aggravating the injury, which is why it took so long for the swelling to go down originally, and why the swelling is re-appearing!.

Put ice on it immediately!. Try not to use it!. Take some Advil if you can - anything that reduces swelling!. Go to the doctor!. He'll just put a splint on your finger to keep you from moving it!. It's a really simple fix and will heal in a few weeks to a month!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
