Not a good idea!. I would see if your doctor can put a "waterproof" cast on!. What that really is, is a goretex liner with the cast tape over top, they won't use the cotton like they did with the one you have on (I have seen some waterproof cotton that they roll on, but not very good feedback from patients) Then after you get done getting it wet, you get to use a blow dryer on a cool setting, and blow it completely dry!. That takes at least 45 minutes, and you have to do it every time you get it wet!. If you just want to play around I don't think its worth it, but if you are going on vacation, it might be worth the extra effort you have to put into it!. Oh and they cost quite a bit more than a regular cast!. Hope this info helps you make a good decision for your situation!. If you had surgery, your doctor will not put one on, it will dramatically increase you risk for infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its not happening, i wouldnt try it, because TRUST Me, getting it wet is the worst experience, cause you cant dry it out, it stays wet for around a week, and you get almost a diaper rash under your cast which is SOOOO ITCHY!. happened to me last time i broke my arm!. You probably only have the cast for a month, if its more then that, next time your at the doctor ask if you can get a removable one for the summer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Water will get in!. Sorry, it's best to wait until your cast comes off to go in a pool!. Getting water inside can lead possible fungal infection, having to have the cast removed and redone, which may prolong the length of time you have to wear one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

they make water proof casts that you can get at the dr!. i got one and i swam all summer!.!. but if you had to have surgery or something like that you have to have a normal cast!.!.!. or you could put a trash bag over it!.!.!. that rarlely worksWww@Answer-Health@Com

Can you say: Yucky, gooey, smelly mess and another trip to the Dr for them to laugh at you!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
