Answers:
Normally with an anaphalytic reaction it is immediate i!.e!. within 5 minutes!.!.!.However every child is different!.
Have you cleansed the area with alcohol and made sure no stinger is there!?
I'd keep him inside 15 minutes and make sure no other reactions!.!.before lettting him outside!.
Also some children never get any reaction!.!.but with some if they get stung a second time!.!.they can still get a reaction!.!.

As a Mom/grandma!.!.I've always kept benadry in the house!.!.It is an antihistamine and safe for very young children!.
It is over the counter!.!.and a 10-15mg dose can be given as soon as bitten!.!.to prevent reactions!.!.However it does cause drowsiness!.!.

I've used it for animals and children

FYI!.!.When a child has a severe reaction and is taken to hospital!.!.We give IM benadryl or IV benedry!.!.!.

Sounds like he's going to be just fine!.!.This is the season for bites:):):

I would think an hour would be fine!. I know when I get stung it takes about 15 minutes for the swelling and breathing to get wacked!.

As far as the advice from the above poster, some of us can die from a bee sting so in our case this can be wuch worse than west nile virus!.

Why not keep an eye on him while he plays!? He is only 8 so he shouldnt be too far from your eyesight in the first place!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

u dont keep an eye on him!.!.!.its a sting not west nile virus,
as long as you took the stinger out and dabbed the scracth with some cream of sort he should be fineWww@Answer-Health@Com
