Keep off it as much as possible!.

Elevate it above the level of your heart as much as possible, including while you're icing it!.

Ice it 15 minutes every 2 hours!. Use frozen peas if you have them!. They're great because they help compress the area and squeeze swelling out!.

Wear a compression bandage to squeeze swelling out!.

Take iboprofen or something similar a few times a day (read the doses) to relieve pain and inflamation!.

DON'T USE HEAT in the first 72 hours, as it increases bruising and swelling!.

Get it moving as soon as possible with basic range of motion exercises!. For example tracing the alphabet with your big toe or tracing circles!.

Try not to walk on it for a few days!. If it doesnt improve within a week or so go and get an xray to make sure theres nothing more serious wrong!.

well its going to hurt for at least a week dependiing on how bad the sprin is! the frist couple of days you just need to stay off of it and put ice on it and elevate it (you can do this by laying down and putting your foot on a pile of pillows and your foot should be even or just above your heart!.) after 3 or 4 days you can start to walk (with a brace!! just to be safe) but yeah it just depends on how bad the sprain is

R!.I!.C!.E hehe I know people have already told you that!. Also put heat on it!. It'll swell for awhile and it will look really really bad!. That's supposed to happen!. Keep off of it when you can, and when that is have it elevated!. Take Tylenol or some relief pain stuff!. It will take 5-7 to heal, and if you think its better but not completely but you canwalk on it, don't!. I have done that many times in the past and now I have bad ankle problems!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Rest it, ice it, keep an ace bandage on it and keep it elevated (as high as or higher than you heart) to reduce the pain and swelling!.

Also take 800mg of ibuprofen twice a day, and it will get better in 2-3 days, depending on how bad the sprain is!. If it's still as bad, better see a doctor!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

keep on ice, ice every 25 min!. for about a week then if it feels better keep it in a brace and stay off it till total mobility with no painWww@Answer-Health@Com
