Question: Nerve problem!?
i have just seen my gp as my fingers are numb and i have tingling in arm , i am being tested for carpol tunnel for the second time , but my doctor seems 2 think i have a blocked nerve in my arm and is refering me to an orthapeadic surgeon , he has told me they may need to operate and if so it is a major operation!. does any one know what this operation is called as i am trying to find information on the internet or has any one else had this operation !?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It depends where the nerve is trapped!. The most likely places (other than carpal tunnel) are at the elbow ( the little and ring fingers would be the ones affected), or in the neck, which could be the little and ring fingers or the other three (it is unlikely to be the whole hand)!. Carpal tunnel is likely to be the thumb, index and middle fingers!. Trapping of the nerve in the neck would require the most complicated surgery but from the surgeon's point of view should be relatively straightforward!. Don't spend too much time worrying about it when you haven't even got a diagnosis!. All the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
