probably soft tissue damage, trust me, i have broken every toe have broken both ankles, i have had at least one account of soft tissue damage (on each foot), and at spring break i had synavitus in my left ankle(which is when your joint swells), the only thing you can do is take advil or tylenol use chrutches(if possible) and wear a tensor bandage, hope you feel better soon!.

that might be caused by overuse / overstraining injury!. not impossible due to the fact that you suddenly increased your workout!.

exercise intensity and duration should be increased slowly and gradually - you have to let your body get used to the work!.

also stretch your legs, especially your calves, if you walk 2 miles everyday!.

you can try hot/cold compress, other people respond to warm compress, while some respond to cold compress!. take it easy and rest your feet!. and go to a doctor!.

what we're advising is mostly based from our experience!. that best course of action for you is still to go to a doctor and have the doc check that out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your not used to walking that much!. Its probably a pulled muscle that your not used to useing in your foot!. Do the ice and heat thing for a day or so to help heal it!. When I started playing volleyball my arm wasn't used to the ball hitting my arm so much and it got sore!. Thats probably what happened with your foot!. Just stay off of it to help it get better, don't try to walk or run on it, it'll just make it worse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You probably should see a podiatrist for a correct diagnosis!. You may have sressed the muscles or tendons in your foot!. You may need to wear an orthotic in your shoe for better support!. Icing and rest may also be important !. When you see the doctor, wear the shoes that you had on !.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i dont think you are overweight!. i am 5'7 and weight 200 pounds and i do a 2 mile job daily and i am fine!.!.!.so i think for you, walking didnt cause the pain, its something else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are an adult, 5-9 170 is not fat
Ice the area and rest it as much as possible until the pain subsides
The icing should be 20 min on, 20 offWww@Answer-Health@Com
