Answers:
Since there was no permission slip, you should sue the school!. I'm pretty sure there must be some law that states that children under 18 who leave school for a trip most have a note stating their medical needs!. If they failed to do so, you should definitely sue!. Even if your son is ok now, you still get cash and damage rewards for their negligence!.

The first step for you to do is to contact a lawyer and have them sort out what's reasonable for you to do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you should because if it wasn't for the dubass teacher he wouldn't even end up with an infection at all!. How sad if that happened to me I would be sad because the techer didn't even believe me!. That is ****** up for that teacher!. I mean shouldn't the school already know the allergies of a child in a form when you enroll them!. That is totally not a sertified school!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would tell the principal and make sure the teacher was reprimanded, but most schools have a clause on permission slips for field trips stating that the school is not liable for any injury or event leading to injury that may take place!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would set a meeting with the principal and tell him about the situation!. you might also have to look at the permission slip and see what it stated in their!.

Does he not carry an epi pen!? Why didn't you offer to chaperon this field trip!? I would think the parents have some responsibility also!. You know your child is allergic to bees, if it were my child and they were going outside during nice weather, I would make sure the teachers know he is allergic to bees!. Just because you told them 9 months ago when the school year started, does not mean it is fresh in their mind!.

Do you think you will sue them and they will just write you a great big check!. I agree with one of the posters, there are probably forms you signed that release the school from any liability, and you would be stuck with a bunch of attorney fees!. In our district, the parent signs a release at the beginning of the school year, and it covers the student/school for that entire year, without having to sign a permission slip on each and every field trip!.

I agree the teacher should have handled the situation better, and this should be addressed with the principal and possibly the superintendent, but will suing them make the bees not sting your son!? Now if he had died, then maybe a lawsuit would be in order, but he didn't!. What if you were that teacher!? Would you want a students parent to sue you!? Put yourself in her shoes!. Some kids cry wolf when nothing is wrong, so when something is wrong, they are not believed, could this be the case!? Just thought a different point of view needed to be brought to light!. Hope your son is well!Www@Answer-Health@Com
