I burned my leg on a grill, and am wondering if its better to keep it wrapped up!

Question: I burned my leg on a grill, and am wondering if its better to keep it wrapped up, or to air it out!.!?
I've always assumed that not wrapping it with a bandage would help it heal faster, thinking that an exposed wound would be better with the air!. But I read the back of a Johnson and Johnson bandage box, and it emphasized that a wrapped wound heals faster!.

The wound isn't too serious, it could possibly be a second degree burn!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The reason a wrapped wound often heals faster is the bandage keeps infection out!. This can be even more important with burns because unlike a cut, a burn takes off a large area of skin!. On the market there are specialized products to cover burns (for example Water Jel) and I suggest you use them!. If you do a web search on Water Jel or burn bandage you will find these products and kits and can decide which is best for you!. You can also find a description of burns with photos to determine what kind of burn you have!. You should also be using an antibiotic if one is not already on the burn bandage you select in order to prevent infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I burned my wrist on my lawnmower and had a huge blister!. I was told by paramedics (that just happened to be around lol) that I should keep it uncovered unless I was doing some sort of activity that might get it dirty!. I did apply an antibiotic cream that I got from my doctor and it healed great!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would keep it wrapped for a few days so it gets a good scab!.!. so germs don't get into it!.!. also make sure you Don't put Vaseline or anything like that on it!.!.!.my g-ma thought you were so post to!.!.!.bad idea!.!.!.

no, dnt wrap it!. burns shall never be wrapped in any case coz they always damage ur tissues further more while doing so!. keep it open so that the burn- swollen thing comes up!. it wud let ur skin cool and then recovery of a new one!. tk cr!Www@Answer-Health@Com
