What do NK cells do??!
Question: What do NK cells do!?!?
Answers:
Natural Killer Cells are immune cells -they are large granular lymphocytes and have ADCC (antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity)!.
The killing is acheived by the release of cytotoxic molcules and these cause pores in the target cells leading to lysis!. Other molecules enter the target cell induce apoptosis (programmed cell death)!. This is done by enhancing the fragmentation of nuclear DNA of the target cells!.
The killing is enhance by IL-2, IL-12 and interferons!.
They act against protozoa and against intracellular pathogens!.
