Answers:
Symptoms of RSI :

Pain
Tingling
Numbness
Visible swelling
Redness
Loss of flexibility
Muscle weakness

Symptoms of CTS :

'Pins and needles'!. This is tingling or burning in part or all of the shaded area shown above!. The index and middle fingers are usually first to be affected!.

Pain or aching in the same fingers may then develop!. The pain may travel up the forearm!.
Numbness of the same finger(s), or in part of the palm, may develop if the condition becomes worse!.
Weakness of some muscles in the fingers and/or thumb occurs in severe cases!. This may cause poor grip and eventually lead to wasting of the muscles at the base of the thumb!.

Symptoms vary from mild to severe depending on how 'squashed' the median nerve becomes!. One or both hands may be affected!. Symptoms tend to come and go at first, often after you use the hand!. Typically, symptoms are worse at night and may wake you up!. The symptoms may be eased for a while by raising the hand up or hanging it down!. 'Flicking' the wrist may also give relief!. Symptoms persist all the time if the condition becomes severe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Seriously bad pain that can extend from the shoulder to the wrist, though the injury is to the elbow!. This complaint is far more serious and painful than most people can imagine - sorry I hate to sound so depressing, but I was diagnosed with RSI quite recently, was off work for several weeks, had to have physiotherapy, strong pain killers and wear a wrist support and elbow brace, on my return to work!. My arm just 'froze' in work one day and the only way I could 'unlock' it was to pull it with my good arm - not recommended! If you think you could have RSI you must consult a doctor 'NOW'!. If RSI is left unattended for too long it can cause permanent disability!. The Carpel Tunnel is where the pain spreads, it is milder at the start and just gets worse it is often given the term tennis elbow!. The news gets worse because not only is it caused by repetitive strain, the problem itself is repetitive!
I do hope that a doctor rules this condition out for you!. Whilst compensation claims are often made against employers for RSI it is very difficult to prove liability and not many claims are awarded!. I hope this is of use to you, there are some good medical reference works freely available on the net that would give you a more scientific outline!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
