My daughter was playing and hurt her foot and now has a blood blister?!

Question: My daughter was playing and hurt her foot and now has a blood blister!?
My kids were playing Monday evening and my littlest one was laying in the floor and my son went to tickle her and she kicked the TV!. Now she has a blood blister and the bottom of her foot and it's a little bigger than a pencil eraser!. I carried her to the doctor because it was hurting and she told me to keep an eye on but not to worry about it unless it gets infected!. That was yesterday morning!. My daughter woke up all night last night with it hurting, I am giving her tylenol and motrin!. Yesterday she kept picking at it and some of the stuff came out,the doctor said that should relieve pressure if we could pop it, we can not do that to her!. She will forget about it and step on it then start screaming!. What in the world can I do to help her!? I can't give her any more medicine, she is only 2 years and 10 months!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You should pop and drain the blood blister, then put a dressing over the site of it (for padding, and badage it to her foot, this will prevent her, hopefully, from picking further at it, and will allow her to walk on it (weight on it will actually help the skin re-attach and form a proper scab to heal)!.
Popping it with a a needle or the tip of a sharp kitchen knife will not hurt your daughter since the skin is not attached and is not therefore connected to the nerves!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nothing you can do,its the price of life!.
She will have to deal with the pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

have you tried putting ice on it!?!?
popping it is the best way!. trust me!. i had a wart removed a few years back and i got a huge blood blister!. i took a clean brand new sewing needle to it and popped it (you dont feel a thing) and it started to drain!. it definately relieves the pressure!. the only painful part (and i mean it is minimal!.!.!.!. hurts less than falling off your bike and scraping your hands) was when the blood blister got to the end and you have to squeeze the blood out!. just make sure to keep the area clean (which might be hard seeing as it is on her foot) and let it air out (dont put a band-aid on it -my sister is a nurse)!. it should be gone in a few days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
