Answers:
They can only try and convince the person to go with them, they can't force anyone to have medical treatment, sometimes the police will get involved and they have more power!. if they still refuse treatment they get them to sign a waver stating that they have refused medical treatment against advice and then they go away until they get called out when the patient has lapsed into unconsciousness!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have a choice to have treatment if you are lucky enough to have the date!.Normally people have to wait 10 months or so and some are not considered as urgent!.In some hospitals the appointment is cancelled on the date it is due!.If you do not sign the authority form no treatment is given!.In emergency cases the operation might go ahead!.In normal cases choice is your!.It is standard condition for any operation big or small to have consent form to be signed as you are not in a position to negotiate and you leave the decision to the experts and quite often lot of cases things go wrong and are dreadful like patients do not recover after operation or new borne dying during birth from starvation of oxygen etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

We can only advice that the patient needs to go to hospital we can not physically force anybody, they would have to sign to say they are refusing!. I went to a mans house that was attacked by a dog the man was drunk but half his face was hanging off he refused treatment so we called for police assistance as we were not happy about walking away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can't force anyone to have treatment, if they don't want it all you can do is keep an eye (if you can)Www@Answer-Health@Com

often if they are in a bad enough state for paramedics to be picking them up they are too out of it to refuse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
