i have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia!. I have seen many dr's for this, i have even been to a pain clinic!. that was a waste of my time!. he wouldnt change my meds even though the anti inflammatory makes me have major stomach cramps, all he said is take some mylanta!. and then he scheduled an appt 3 months from now!. I am in such pain i called my family dr and she wouldnt even help!. I dont know what else i can do!. that dr even told me that i needed my mentall illness checked, because if im in a good mood it would help!. this pissed me off!. he has no right to talk to me about that stuff!. I have tried lyrica, too expensive, neurontin makes me eat like a horse, i cant afford that as i am 235 lbs, and baclofen for muscle aches!.which doesnt help at all!. my dr is supposed to refer me to the rheumotology clini about 50 miles away!. but hey he is an expert on this disorder!. btw i am also taking a b-supplement and omega 3 fish oil!. is there anything i can try at home besides ice and heat!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will be told many things about being "crazy" or "This Dr!. can help"!. People don't understand what you're going through!. My wife has the same thing and there have been plenty of visits to Drs and many meds that, like you, do not agree with her!.
The things that have helped her most is weight loss and excercise!. Her excercise consists of water aerobice 3-5 times a week and stretching!. Try this for 6 months and see if you don't feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm sorry but he is right on getting your mental illness checked!. If your anxiety is not controlled you will never have adequate pain control (needless to say if your pain is never controlled your mental health is not going to be in check)!. If your not in behavioral therapy yet!.!.!.do it!. You have to go to the rheumotolgy clinic!.!.!.!.it is their specialty they know what they are doing!. I must say that lyrica has been a wonder drug for many!. If you don't have insurance or are low income the manufacturer of lyrica pfizer will help pay for your medication!.
