Doing CHEERLEADING & legs hurting?!


Question: Doing CHEERLEADING & legs hurting!?
I was training to do the splits 4 the first time and OMG mi legs hurt from yesterday and I've read on a site what it is & someone has said I've ripped something, have I do u think!?!

I really forced my legs to do it, it was about 12 inches from the floor!

Plz reply plz!

you probably just strained your muscles and since its your first time it was a bad idea!. I would suggest before doing the splits to stretch more first if you didnt instead of doing it right away

try laying on your back with on leg flat on the ground!. i repeat FLAT ON THE GROUND!. like straight!. then the other one in the air and grab it with your hand and pull it towards you as far as you can!. when doing this make sure your hips are straight fowards not all over the place because the point of this exercise would be pointless!.

another one is to get into second position (if you dojn't know what that is its when your legs are apread out while standing up past your shoulders) and they bend down while pushing yours knees back!. this really strethes out your goin!.

also you can get into a butterly and press your knees down and lay down in the middle

my favorite is to stand up an go agaisnt the all and have someone push one of your legs as close to you as your body allows while the other one is still on the ground!. its like the frist stretching exercise i suggested except you're standing up and osmeone else is pushing it for you!.

anyway if you think you're legs hurt, wait until you base or backspot or even fly!. i couldn't move my arms for like 2-3 days after my frist time :]]Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well i am a cheerleader and i have did the splits before and my legs hurt alot!. im not so sure if you had ripped something but if it olny hurts from yesterday you should be ok!. if it keeps hurting go see a docter!. where do u feel it is sore!? Because if it hurts by the virgina out then i know that hurts alot and you will be okay!. but really if it keeps hurting go see a docter please okay!

I cheer too and I've been training to do the splits and I go down a little bit at a time every day and every day I get closer and closer to touching!.!.!. I'm about three inches now!!! but anyways I don't think you ripped something just give it a couple days to heal and if it doesn't I'd maybe see a doctor but from no on slowly work into itWww@Answer-Health@Com

Don't force it so hard; you can't get splits overnight! If you are just sore, take a warm bath!. If you think you have seriously injured yourself, ice the hurt area and get your coach or school trainer to put an ace bandage on you and get to a doctor as soon as you can!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
