Either a Neurologist or an Orthopedic specialist!.!.!.Since you live in the same state as I do, I would STRONGLY recommend you ck w/one of the Rothman Institutes they have in our area!. Just look up Rothman, put in your zip, & it w/give the closest one to you!. My son is going there soon too!. They are the BEST OF THE BEST!. My daughter is an RN, & she says allll the top Drs!. at one of "our" local hosp!. where she works w/ONLY go there!. It's worth you to ck!. them out!. In canada only a neurosurgeon will operate on your back!. I had my back operated on in 2003 and 2004 each time for the disks which reruptured again so am giving up on them but I do have horrible painfull nerve damage in my right leg which gets worse each year so if you are thinking of getting the back operated on search ut all the pros and cons first!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I had a ruptured/slipped disc L4-L5 and I had a neurosurgeon fix mine!. I have other complications now due to returning to work early and I need a fusion now!. My leg pain was gone when I woke up from surgery!. I have permanent nerve damage(numb on my leg where the pain traveled)!. There are other options out there besides a Laminectomy!. You should research them and talk to your doctor about them!. Make sure you research your doctor too!!

Neurosurgeon or orthaepedic!. I would suggest that you try non invasive spinal decompression before you have surgery!. I had remarkable results with it! Whatever you decide!.!.!.do your homework!Www@Answer-Health@Com
