Question: Have a huge boil on inner thigh, need help!!?
I have a huge boil on my inner thigh!. Its gotten so bad that i have to crab walk at this time or not walk at all!. I had one only 3 months ago in the same area and i got it lanced!. I was so very painful!. When they gave me the needle to numb it i guess it formed too much pressure and the liquid came out causing me not to be fullu numb and also changing the bandage every day was hell!. I dont think i can go through it again, i refuse to get it cut!. Is there any other way i can get it to form a head and then drain!? I mixed baking powder and vinegar and applied it on the boil but i'm not sure if it will work or make it worse!. Any help is appreciated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Something you can try is to take a wet washcloth and put it in the microwave for a few seconds, and apply it to the boil, it will hurt like he*l, but the heat will bring it to a head (The idea of doing this is because it will get hotter than hot water)!. I wouldn't mess with it so much that it gets even more sore, but this is something you could try!. I had a boil on my back and it was so sensitive I couldn't even sleep, or sit up without being propped on pillows, It got huge, was told it was an oil boil, and when it started to drain it was oil that came out, very gross!. I have heard that doctors can put a small valve to drain the boil, don't know if that is something you want to check into!. You could try scratching the surface of the skin with a sterile needle!. Maybe making a small scatch instead of a puncture by poking it will help with the pressure and getting air to it!. I wouldn't use any salve like others suggested, because then you smother it, and the idea is to alleviate the pain and the only way to do it is to get this to drain!. However if it gets worse you shouldn't hesitate to go to the hospital Er, because you might need antibiotics!. Good Luck, I know it's miserable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You should probably keep it cool n dry but if you need it to progress than I would either hold a hot rag on it or maybe sit in a hot tub!. After it comes to a head, puncture with a clean needle and drain!. Be sure that you think it 's ready!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You need to be very careful because treating a thing like this yourself could become a staff infection!. You could try some black salve which is sold in drugstores and is supposed to help boils come to the surface!. If it starts looking infected get to the doctor - FAST!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Poke it with a pin and get all the fluid out, then put boiling water on a cotton bud stick and burn it!. That'll dry it out so it cant grow!.
