Can you give me some examples of a "bland diet"?!


Question: Can you give me some examples of a "bland diet"!?
I was told no fried foods & no spicy foods, but the only example of what I COULD eat was chicken noodle soup!. i made jell-o!.Any other suggestions!?
This is post-surgery!. I am 41 and have always eaten what I liked with no reprocussions, so I'm kind of stumped here!. Can I have a steak (filet mignon) or tilapia!? It's what I have thawed in fridge!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Applesauce
toast
gingerale
pasta no sauce
rice
oatmeal
white fish

just think of it this way!.!. you can eat things that wont take your stomach a lot or energy and time to digest!. things that are easy on your tummy!.!. no spices nothing gassy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Generally, after surgery you want to be on a bland diet until the "drugs" wear off and your stomach settles!.!. If you eat rich or high in fats/protein foods too soon after surgery you could vomit and that's NO FUN!

Generally, a bland diet is!.!.!. rice, applesauce, toast, and bananas!.!.!.!. I would stick to simple foods for a day or two and then move on to whatever you normally eat!.!.!.!.

I had surgery and I couldn't eat for acouple days!.!.!.!. PLUS it was gall bladder surgery so I had to stay away from anything fatty, greasy and such!.!.!. I ate after the surgery some fruit/yogurt and still vomitted!

I know you are suppoused to eat this stuff when you have the flu or like stomach problems, but the reason you eat this stuff when your sick is because its a) BLAND and b) easy on the tummy
Steak or tilapia would not be considered bland food , sorry :(
In a nutshell, when deciding what is bland food!.!.!.just think back to the food your mom would feed you when you were little and sick from school!.
