Layer of skin on palm lost and gauze is stuck! Help please!?!

Question: Layer of skin on palm lost and gauze is stuck! Help please!!?
Just today around 2pm i fell of of my bike and scraped off a big area of skin from my palm!. it was bleeding all over my hand and i rinsed it as much as i could with the pain and put peroxide and neosporin in it!. i could still see a little dirt in it but i couldnt get all of it so i just but a ton of neosporin antibiotic cream on it!. After that a taped a gauze to my hand and part of it got stuck on the wound!. ive soaked it in water and pulled for enough pain i could possibly deal with since it's on layer of skin below the one i lost!. i couldnt get if off and i just but a non-stick gauze over that small little piece i couldnt get off!. i tried getting help from a online doctor (dumb idea) and he told me i need to get a tetanus vaccine!?!?!?!?!?!?
any help please!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
A tetanus vaccine for a stuck gauze pad!? Maybe he said this because of your fall!. My boyfriend had this problem before when the pad soaked with blood, and the nurse soaked it in peroxide!. If you soak it long enough, the piece should come off -- it'll get gooey in the liquid and should slide right off!. :DWww@Answer-Health@Com

soak it in luke warm water like everyone has suggested, then what i would do is clean the wound, but some neosporin on it, and then use ouchless gauze pads, its what i use when i get my tattoo remover treatments, since its burns but i need the protection, and these just come right off with no pain!. they seel them at walgreens, walmart target pretty much everywhere!.!. good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to see a doctor!. All the dirt and grit is going to need to be removed!. You don't want to do it yourself!. You might need a tetanus shot if it's not current!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Relax in a tub of bathwater!. It will eventually come off as well as soak some of the dirt too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

He or she is right, ideally you should have a doctor cut it out & you should get a tetanus shot to protect you from that dirt you know you didn't get out!. That's the best thing!. Dirt's not a big deal on the outer skin layers, but if it gets sub-cutaneous you can be (in a sense) poisoned!. It CAN be a big deal but it's often not too!. But if you want to take a chance, or have to, you can trim away all the gauze you can and leave it!. I've done it!. A couple things can happen: A scab builds up around it & expels it when the scab flakes off, or your new skin grows around it, breaks it down inside, and desolves it, or an infection develops inside and you're worse off than when you started!. I'd recommend having a Dr cut it out!. He/she can numb you first!. If at all possible just deal with it the right way the first time!. At least get the shot!. If you're in the States you can get a cheap one at a county medical clinic if you can't afford a Dr!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
