Sleep disorders are very serious!. I started having problems when I was 16, now 34 and still have problems but not as bad!. I've been to several sleep disorder clinics throughout the years and it helped somewhat!. I'm no longer awake for days at a time but am still like you where I wake up every couple of hours and don't get a good, solid sleep!.

Here's some things that may help:

- keep a journal (or blog) and write in it every night an hor or two before bed!. Write about your day and future plans so when you're trying to sleep, your mind isn't racing trying to think about things!. Bonus If it's a blog, because you can even make money if you join an ad network!.

- Try and keep a regular sleep schedule and go to bed at the same time every night, get up at the same time too!. No sleeping in for a few extra hours on weekends!.

- if you can't sleep after 40 or so minutes, watch tv or do something to distract your mind and try again in an hour or so!.

- Your bedroom should only be used for sleeping!. Read and do hobbies in a different room!.

- exercise as early in the day as possible!.

- try to eliminate caffeine or don't drink/eat anything with caffeine after mid-afternoon!.

Those are just a few things they'll talk to you about in the clinic but I'm not a doctor and the most important thing you should do is go see one and get a referral to a sleep disorder clinic asap because they usually have a long waiting list!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you getting enough exercise!? Lack of exercise will lead to poor sleep habits!. On the other hand, exercise too close to bed time is a no-no also!. Eating habits can mess with sleep also!. Eating too much or too little before bed can lead to fitful sleep!. How about temperature!? If your room is too hot or to cold it will keep waking you up!. Other things to think about: too much light in bed room, too much noise, pets, stress, and many more!. good luck!. Hard to be more specific with out more information!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should try out uberman sleep schedule aka polyphasic sleeping!. it is not dangerous and it is a very unique experience, staying awake for long periods of time, but maximizing efficiency of sleep through the use of multiple naps throughout the day!. check out my blog as i document my experience!.

What time do you go to bed!?

Do you drink Caffiene!?

Are you eating right before bed!?

Sometimes, eating a healthy diet and cutting out caffiene after 6PM will do the trick!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
