HELP!! My mom fell?!
Question: HELP!! My mom fell!?
My mom just fell, and she said her foot twisted backwards, and she heard a pop!. SHe cant stand on it and is in tears she said she has shooting pains up her leg!. I dunno if its broken or not!. I am having her elevate it now with ice on it!. What else should I do!? She doesnt have insurance she is 48!. Please helpWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like broken or sprained!. Sometimes if she goes to the hospital, without insurance, they will work with her on a payment plan instead of a big bill and some places may waive a percentage of what the bill is if she is low income!. Most university hospitals help out in these situations and you could call around hospitals and ask how billing department does this stuff!. Hope your mom gets some relief!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If you are able to drive her to the ER, do that!. Without insurance, a ambulance taking her to the ER will be a VERY expensive addition to her overall bill!. Also, this doesn't warrant a 911 call unless you are unable to move her or if she can't do anything to assist with moving her!. Use your own shoulder to provide support so she doesn't have to put weight on the injured leg!. Continue to keep it elevated and iced for periods of 15 min at a time!. Keeping the ice too long will injure skin tissues!. If she felt/heard a pop, it's likely she has injured it more than a sprain!. Good luck!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Call 911 and have her taken to hospital ER!.
Any hospital (most are) receivng federal funds must treat without insurance coverage!. While there, ask for socal worker to assist with obtaining Medical assistance card!.
