It sounds to me, from your description, that it might be broken!. If it was dislocated, you would be looking at your hand and that knuckle would be at a really weird angle, so I don't think it is dislocated!. If you go to the hospital they will xray it, and if it doesn't need to be set, they will put a splint on it and tell you to go to your doctor in 6 weeks or so!. You can do the same thing by taping the bad finger to the one next to it!. Ice the finger in ice water 3 times a day (20 mins!.) for about a week!. Take Advil for the pain!. It will feel a lot better!. I've broken 9 fingers and I never went to the hospital for any of them!. Not that I'm such a tough guy or anything, I just didn't see the need, because I knew what they were going to do!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
