Excerciseing and hernias?!


Question: Excerciseing and hernias!?
Im a bit overweight and want to get fit!. Years ago i was in a good bit better shape but i developed a umbilical hernia now it was repaired with a mesh or some such (by years ago i mean at least 5 years) and i havent exercised much or alot since i just kind of broke the habit!. Are there any fears or any exercises i should be avoiding i know for sure i dont want another one!. Im 23 by the way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have had 2 hernias repaired!. Just work into it easy!. Don't try to do too much too fast!. You need to slowly build those muscles back up!. Bike riding and swimming are great places to start with hernias!. Check with your Dr!. and see what they recommend and get going!. 5 years is plenty of time too heal and a lot of atrophy too!. It was repaired with mesh or as they state 'Y fronts' so all should be well healed and raring to go now!. Enjoy the exercise, take it slow and build up!. Best of LuckWww@Answer-Health@Com
