Question: Can Medical Marijuana be used in Colorado for this!?!?!?
I want to ask my dentist about medical marijuana!. My teeth REALLY hurt, and I keep getting hydro codome for it, but I feel like those pills could hurt me!. Would I be out of line to ask for a signature from my dentist whos proscribing me hydro codome , and T-3 allready!? I live in Colorado, and we have medical marijuana, but im in a small town and no one here has a card, so its hard to ask for what everyone here thinks is a DRUG (bad) bla bla bla!.!.!.!. Would medical Marijuana be right for me!? I have all 4 wisdom teeth needing to be removed, and $3200 dollars worth of other dental work im currently undergoing!.!.!.
My bottom wisdome teeth came in sideways and messed ALL my teeth up, and my dentist can't remove them I have to go to Denver!? Anyways I've been in daily Severe Pain since 2005 with my teeth!. I've been on other meds since Jan 08 for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

haha!. you want to turn down codine for pot!? weirdo, chances are no they will not give you marijuana as it is not a pain killer at all!. In colorado pot is relatively cheap so if you really want it go buy it yourself!. Codine will NOT hurt you if you use it like your doctor says, just take the codine and you will feel better, marijuana will not help at all, in any way shape or form!. this is all from a medical point of view!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Medical Marijuana in most states can be prescribed for a set list of certain conditions (I don't think anywhere explicitly includes dental pain) but in most places the doctor can prescribe for other conditions if they feel it will help and/or the patient is not responding to treatments that are standard protocol for the condition!.

As far as marijuana goes, it will probably not help with the pain in your mouth!. Marijuana is often prescribed for people with chronic pain for two main reasons: 1!.) It helps relieve neuropathic or nerve pain!. This is found in MS, HIV and diabetic neuropathy, trigeminal and postherpetic neuralgia as well as other conditions where there is nerve compression or other nerve disease!. 2!.) Marijuana has myorelaxant properties meaning it relaxes your muscles!.

The pain in your teeth would not respond to muscle relaxers or nerve pain medications so I don't see a medical reason why marijuana would help or subsequently why your doctor would prescribe it!.

I have chronic neuropathic pain and use both hydrocodone and marijuana medicinally!. I have had dental problems during the course of my treatment and the hydrocodone effectively relieved that pain while the marijuana did not help at all!. I'm really sorry you have to endure the pain, but hydrocone in moderate amounts is perfectly safe for long term use!. The tylenol in it is bad if taken long term in large amounts (FDA allows 4,000mg/day) but the codeine and hydrocodone are safer than aspirin or ibuprofen as far as damage to your organs or other health issues!.

I hope everything works out well for you and if you have any further questions regarding pain management issues, please feel free to email me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
