How do I know if my cut is infected?!

Question: How do I know if my cut is infected!?
I have got a cut on my leg that is about 3cm long!. It is quite deep and is not staying together (gaping open) I did it on friday after I fell on broken glass!. The are surrounding is red and the cut looks dark and dirty!. It is painful as it is on my calf muscle and it is therefore difficult to walk without stretching the cut!. I cannot decided whether I should go to hospital or not!. I have been spraying it with anti-bacterial wound spray and keeping it clean but it doesn't seem to be improving!. Can anyone help!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

if the skin around the outside of the wound is bright pink, or there may be puss on or around it, then it's infected!. gt some neosporin and liquid bandaid if you don't want to go to a doctor!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it's "Gaping" you probably should go get stitches, if you don't have insurance and going to the ER is going to cost a lot of money you might try some butterfly bandages first, they can bind together gaping wounds like that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds infected to me!. Is it hot to the touch!? If so, it's definately infected!. I would pack the would with neosporine and wrap with gauze!. If it doesn't get better soon, you should have it looked at by a medical professional!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need stitches if the wound is gaping open!. Get to the hospital sooner than later, or you might have a deep scar for life!. And not to mention a gaping wound means a MUCH larger chance of infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm guessing if it still open you should probably go to the hospital!. #1 it could be infected #2 you may need stitches for it to healWww@Answer-Health@Com

Antibacterial spray will help to fight an infection but what appears to be more of a problem is the fact that it is not closing!.

Don't delay - get to the hospital!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.NOW!Www@Answer-Health@Com
