Have you ever been mistreated by a memeber of the medical professon? What happen!

Question: Have you ever been mistreated by a memeber of the medical professon!? What happened!? Are you ok now!?
I've had so many medical "mishaps" since I moved to FL!. I swear the Dr!.s here (and I use that term very lightly!.!.!.!.I should say Vets or Butchers, but I wouldn't want to give them that much credit,) are the worlds biggest idiots!. I wonder if they got their licence to practice out of the Sears Catalogue!!
These are a few of the "mishaps":

I was molested by an ob/gyn

I was given an RX that I was deathly allergic to, then yelled at after I called the Dr to tell him what the pharmacy said!.!.!.telling me that he NEVER makes mistakes like that

I went to another ob/gyn after I was molested and he agreed that I was pretty torn up inside, but said he'd never admit that and get another dr in trouble

My daughter had her wisdom teeth out and the Dr refused to give her antibiotics (she ended up with a wicked infection that she had to be hospitalized for,) but wrote me RX's for Demerol and Vicodin w/no problem

I was sent to a hand Dr for a back problemWww@Answer-Health@Com

I have a had my had my knees replaced twice and they still don't work right!. I had four surgeries on one of them before I had it replaced the first time!. I've been on opiod pain killers for 9 years!. I developed such an build up to pain killers that even the strongest pain killers in combinations were no longer helping me!. They were doubling up and giving me combinations that I probably should never have had just to give me relief!. My bowels had stopped working my stomach wasn't working properly and I thought I was going to die!. I knew I was going to die!. I went to a young Dr!. and she "yanked" me off all my pain meds!. She probably saved my life!. It was the hardest thing I ever went through in my life!. I now do take some opiod pain meds but only when absolutely necessary and I understand that Drs will give you really ridiculous amounts without even thinking twice!. I could have been six feet under and the only person who actually noticed what was going on was my Husband and he forced me to seek out another Dr!.
I blame myself more than anyone else!. I've also had a couple of battles with Cancer and I've learned that "I" am responsible for my health care as much as my Dr!. I have to keep up with what I am taking and how much!. I can do as much research as my Dr can and my Sister is a Dr!. I utilize each and every tool I have before I take a pill anymore!.
I think we have to work hand in hand with our Drs!. We all have to be responsible for each other!. Great question!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have never been mistreated, but, I have worked in the medical field for over 20 years in 5 states and I could tell you stories!. You must remember that all professions have their bad apples!. I lived in florida briefly and found some physicians to be very highly skilled and others you would have thought gained their training from fixing their lawn mower!. Never the less, seek and ye shall find!. Do not give up on finding a competent doctor!. Talk with your neighbors to find local physicians that they have visited in the past!. And I have found that the worst cases that I have personally been involved with have been dentists!. But part of the blame is my fault for not having a preventitive maintainance plan of my own!. Use the internet to gain information!. Keep a record and be informed as to changes in your bodies daily routine!. When something is wrong, seek medical attention, doctors are not all bad!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I broke my leg (right above my knee) skating and the doctor prescribed me 6 months of oxycodone, I thought it was weird that he gave me 6 different scripts on 6 different papers!.!.!. he post dated them out 6 months!. He gave me 5 10/600 a day!!! 150 a month!. The pharmacist thought it was a lot but gave em to me anyway!.

Lets say I took them as at the time I thought "Dr!. knows best" and I was in a drug induced coma (not really but it felt like it) the 6 months of the drug!. I was a zombie, I ended up needing to take pills just to get out of bed, take pills just to go to work, take pills just to be able to sleep!.!.!.

Long story short I developed a physical dependency on them and had a HELL of a time getting off them!. I thought I was going to die if I didn't have the drug!. I have heard since that I essentially was prescribed an opiate addiction, not a pain management program!. I quit taking them 5 months in and the Dr!. actually "fired" me for not doing as he said!.!.!. wtf!?

Now I am scared to take any opiate, even when I really need them as I feel like it may trigger the dependency again!.

A$$ Hole!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
