You will need to take it easy and rehab patiently!. Osgood-Schlatter Disease is not a disease, but an overuse condition!. It typically starts with the growth spurt in the teens and can last until age 18, or so, when growth ceases!. The bone growth is faster than the tendon growth and so there is strain on the patellar tendon insertion!. During sports, or stressful activities, the tendon is partially torn away from the bone with resultant micro-fractures developing!. These micro-fractures, naturally, will take time to heal!.

I know that this isn't what you wanted to hear!. But rest and an avoidance or modification of activities may be necessary!. I have two articles posted below!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
