My child has seizures, but won't eat....Please Help!?!

Question: My child has seizures, but won't eat!.!.!.!.Please Help!!?
She takes a medication called Topomax that has been a miracle! She has not had a seizure since puting her on it!. She went from 30-40 seizures a month, down to only having one seizure in the last two months!. Her not wanting to eat, is a side effect of this med!. So, do we keep her on the medication and also allow them to put in a feeding tube!? Or do we start all over again and try all the other drugs and treatments AGAIN! just to end up back at the Topomax!? It makes the feeding tube sound like the best bet!. Feeding tube, with no seizures!. Or eating regular food, with daily seizures!. I don't know, I need help!. PLEASE! GIVE ME ADVICE! Either way there would be restrictions!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I'm assuming she is quite young, so a feeding tube may be the best option for you until she is old enough to understand that she needs to eat to live!. You may also want to bribe her with her favorite snack if she eats a plate of healthy food!. Something is better than nothing!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
