Question: I have a hip problem which i have had since i was 21, i'm 36 now and it comes and goes!.!?
long walks, lifting and sometimes sleeping awkwardly upsets it!. I get a sharp pain which i can only describe as someone trying to pry my joint open with a screwdriver!. i have had xrays and mri scans but they show nothing but it keeps making me limp, sometimes for days!. any ideas what it could be!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I get the same thing!. It's the acetabulum (socket part of the joint) that has worn out cartilage!. This aggrevates the nerves and causes sharp pain!. I've been taking Micaten and Chondroiten along with ibuprofen to help!. I expect I may need an hip replacement some day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be arthritis, I know you are only 36 but most people over 21 have some form of arthritis in some joints!. I have chronic arthritis and take colagen tablets that help to repair the cartilage!. If it is arthritis you will have to live with it or get a new joint, but unles you are willing to pay for the surgery you will have to wait about another 30 years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
