Hurt at work?!
Question: Hurt at work!?
I was hurt at work!. I hurt my right shoulder lifting a very heavy tube of steel!. I can no longer lift anything heavier than 5 pounds per Dr!.'s orders!. All because they will not install a crane, or just a simple jib crane!. My field of work requires me to lift alot more than that!. I'm a welder for gods sake!. I had to quit my job because I can't do it anymore!. I can't even get a new job because of the injury!. I've been welding my entire adult life!. I know nothing else!. My former place of work will not compensate me!. What should I do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Derrick you may be out of luck!. Did you report the injury in writing(accident report)!?
I hope the very best for you!. If you haven't done so, you need to talk to a good attorney because unfortunately the right thing doesn't just happen in these cases!.
I was hurt 5 years ago on the job and had to quit 1 1/2 years ago!. I ended up having a heart attack the day after injury, back surgery 2 years later, epidurals!. Now I have been told that my nerves are damaged, nothing they can do, I must use a cane!. I was not able to collect unemployment, workers compensation, or disability!. I have had absolutely no income for over a year!. Message is-Get an attorney, sooner the better!. Good luck and God bless!.
EDIT- ok that's great that you did fill out the report and they have acknowledged an injury by covering medical!. I trusted the system and everyone in it 100% and was in for a rude awakening!. There were mistakes made in my case!. I finally saw an attorney after a specialist (strongly advised me to)!. I don't know how long this has been going on!. You should probably re submit your question in law!.
