Gall bladder attacks?!

Question: Gall bladder attacks!?
I had my third baby three weeks ago and like the first two time I suffered a gallbladder attack!. The only time I ever have problems with the thing is my last month of pregnancy when the baby is huge and pushing on it and the month following delivery!. I had an attack last night that lasted 13 hours, went to the ER and they pretty much just sent me home still in massive pain!. Luckly I had pain meds from my c-section at home and they made the attack stop!. What I need to know is, what kind of damage could a long attack like that cause!? The ER doc wasn't too worried about it, just told me to follow up with my family doctor and talk about surgery in a month or so after i've fully recovered from my c-section!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My sister just had her gall bladder removed after having had several severe attacks!. Her doctor told her that the gall bladder attacks were either a gall stone passing into the common bile duct, which usually just passes through you, or it was an inflammation!. The only severe problem is if a gall stone gets stuck in your common bile duct and then it affects your liver, but you would notice other symptoms, like jaundice (yellow color in the whites of your eyes)!. If you are prone to gall bladder attacks you probably need to keep to a lower fat diet until you have your gall bladder removed!. There are also some herbal remedies for gall bladders, but I'm not sure about their effectiveness!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
