Question: Take contacts out for surgery!?
i have to have a smell procedure done in a couple weeks, very minor, but they have to put me to sleep!. On the list of things to do they tell me to take my contacts out!. however, i cant see at all without them and do not like to take them out!. i have the night and days so i never have to remove them, but to clean them!. my eyes are so bad i cant even see through glasses!. Do you think they will make me take them out for this hour long procedure!? will they even notice!? what will happen if i dont!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's unlikely that anything really bad will happen from keeping them in, but generally if they specifically tell you to take them out, there's a reason!. I'm sure you could call and ask if you still should remove them given you have the night and days!. If they say no, you could always keep them in until you're actually about to go into the surgical room and then take them out so you don't have to be without them for long!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It is extremely stupid to leave them in if you've been told to take them out!. Extremely!. How difficult is it to bring the case and just put them in after the fact!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
