My tooth is throbbing so bad!. It is making my head hurt my neck and my ear!. I can not take the pain much longer!. I have some hydrocodone and was wondering if I can take since I am already taking birth control and zoloft!. Please do not answer if you honestly do not know I have two little children in the house with me and need nothing crazy happening to me!. If I can not take pain pills what can I take!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I take Zoloft (50mg daily) and at one point took birth control (Yasmin)!. While I on both of these meds, I took hydrocodone (Lortab) for pleurisy!. It was prescribed by an ER doctor and filled at my regular pharmacy!. I was not warned of any interactions and I had no problems!. I also took it last month when I had my tonsils out and sinus surgery while still on Zoloft, but not birth control!. I would only take the recommended dose, get some sleep and call your dentist first thing in the morning!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hydrocodone should not interact with them!. Zoloft does not interact with much (http://www!.webmd!.com/drugs/mono-8095-SER!.!.!. ) and neither do most birth control pills!. You can look at Hydrocodone's reactions here: http://www!.webmd!.com/drugs/search!.aspx!?s!.!.!. , if that would make you feel better!. Try to eat with the hydrocodone at first, and if it's rough on your stomach, keep taking it with food!. It was so rough on mine that I couldn't even keep water down and I had to switch!.

Tylenol (acetaminophen) should be safe to take with almost any drug, but be more cautious of ibuprofen or aspirin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can take either tylenol or ibuprofen with those meds!. There are no adverse interactions between them!. I would suggest the ibuprofen because it is a pain killer and anti-inflammatory!. Make sure you take it with food or a glass of milk to avoid stomach upset!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've given this advice often on here and gotten many positive responses!.!.!.!.take a teabag, black tea, not herbal, and get it wet with warm water!. Put the bag on the sore tooth and bite down gently and leave it there for a few minutes!. The tannic acid in the tea really helps get rid of tooth pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would honestly take the ibuprofen!. You already take Zoloft, so that could possibly give you more side effects if you take the Hydrocodone!. You could call a pharmacist and ask them!. But if you are the type that reacts easily to medication, don't do it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tooth numbing medication that is applied directly to the site of pain would do the trick and should not interfere with the medications you are currently taking!. These are sold in most stores!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
