Shoulder injury...don't know what it is...please help!?!

Question: Shoulder injury!.!.!.don't know what it is!.!.!.please help!!?
I asked before when it happened but wasn't too specific!. It's been about 3 weeks since I injured my shoulder in Jiu Jitsu class!. I got slammed on it!. I wore a sling for 2 days, iced it, rested it!. I'm back to training and lifting weights and everything else but there is one particular motion that I can't do without pain!. If I extend my arms out, parallel to the floor, I get pain in my left shoulder!. It hurts if I try to workout doing dips, flys, or if I throw a hook punch!. I can move my arm in any other direction (across the chest, over my head, behind the back) but just cannot extend it out without pain!. What could the injury possible be!? Again, I can do just about any weight training or free weight exercise, but dips and flys really hurt!.!.!.I haven't even tried lateral raises cause I know that'll totally hurt, but I can do a front dumbbell raise just fine!. Some information would be really helpful! Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I had shoulder surgery 2 yrs ago & I also see patients with occasional shoulder problems--- it's nothing to mess around with- shoulders are complicated & can't be diagnosed over the internet, but it's entirely possible that you have a rotator cuff tear, or a glenoid labrum tear!. It's also possible that it's less severe & you have bursitis (inflammation of the bursa/ capusle in the shoulder)!. You need to see an orthopedist!. You should get an Xray, possibly an MRI, and for now, DO NOT workout- no weights, no maritial arts- until you know what it is (no need to make a small tear worse if that's what it is)!. Do some cardio, but that's it!.

I think you probably have some torn ligament!. If it is it will never be the same again even if you don't feel pain!. I have it on my shoulder!. There is some position that when I move the joints will be dislocated!. It does not hurt anymore but I can't move to that position!. The doctor said I need major surgery for correction, I chose to skip it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
