What causes myoclonic seizures?!

Question: What causes myoclonic seizures!?
My husband was told yesterday after some tests that he does not actually have epilepsy, that his seizures are caused by something else!. The doctor evidently was not specific in his explanation, but he wanted to take my husband off his seizure medication and "see what happens!." This made him "uncomfortable" so he let him stay on it, I guess, till his next appointment!. Of course I was not at the appointment, coz I'm not allowed to be, so I don't know if the doctor really let him keep on the medicine for that reason, but I do know he has to have some kind of medicine!. ANYWAY!. Does it sound like he is prolly going to be diagnosed with ANYTHING AT ALL, or does he need to be having some bloodwork or CT scan or something!? Coz why will the doc say his brain is "mostly fine" then say he will take him off the meds!.!.!.and all that!.!.!.!. What is likely wrong with him!. He's a scary mess without meds!. Not like my kinda mess, really!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
